My Journey In Life

I’m just like you, but I got lucky and discovered the amazing world of digital marketing! Here is my story...

As a kid...

As a child, I was always interested in science and math and looked at things from an analytical perspective. I was always curious about how things worked and why. I loved learning new things and figuring out processes and solutions.

In high school, science and math were my strengths and labs my favorite. I ended up majoring in Chemistry in college and set out looking for a job as a chemist.

My first job out of college was in an Environmental Lab, where I met my future husband. He had applied to the flight program in the US Navy and was awaiting acceptance. We dated for a while then he was accepted in Air Officer Command school. We got married and lived in San Diego and Nevada before heading overseas to Japan.

After living in Japan for 4 years and being a partially single mom to two young boys, my career as a Chemist faded away.

Then the entrepreneurship bug bit me...

In my mid 20's, I developed a passion for health and fitness, becoming a group fitness instructor and later personal trainer. This career was flexible, allowing me to work anywhere and help others with my analytical skills. We lived in Japan and I taught group fitness classes on the military base. We moved to Hawaii and I continued teaching fitness classes and added personal training as another stream of income.

I opened a fitness studio in Hawaii and discovered that I loved working for myself. However, juggling the roles of owner, instructor, and business manager was overwhelming, and I found myself burned out and lacking the business skills that I needed to thrive.

Then I tried all the things that, well, didn't work...

While I had the skills in group fitness and personal training, I had no experience on the business side. I had a difficult time managing the business side and marketing to build our membership. I had too many roles to fulfill and ended up burning myself out. I struggled to pay the rent and overhead each month and eventually had to close the doors.

I learned some hard lessons, brick and mortar business have a huge overhead and need an experienced staff to be successful. I was owner, instructor, business and marketing manager and janitor all at the same time and found myself drowning in it all. It was a catch 22, I hired others to help me teach but couldn't afford to hire a business manager, which I desperately needed at the time to grow our membership. When I finally closed the doors, I was extremely burnt out and in advanced adrenal fatigue.

Well thankfully, when one door closes another opens and this is what led me to direct sales a couple of years later. I decided that I never wanted to work in corporate or for anyone again. Nor did I want to be part of a brick and mortar business. I knew that online sales and marketing was in my future but didn't really have a plan or vision.

Determined to find a sustainable business model, I ventured into direct sales and affiliate marketing, loving the online space. Yet, something was still missing. I knew that I was meant for more.

Finally, I cracked the code!

My turning point came when I discovered digital marketing through a social media post. After watching a webinar, I invested in comprehensive courses. I learned about SEO secrets, social media strategies, AI tools, sales funnels, workflow and email automations, and the best integrated software hub in the world.
I applied these newfound skills to a new venture—a digital marketing business. I've learned the skills that have given me the confidence to help others build and expand their own businesses.

I used social media to create engaging and valuable content, optimized my website to rank high on Google, and built an email list to nurture leads. My client base grew, and my revenue increased. I realized the power of digital marketing and my role to offer solutions to others looking for more.

Today, my business is thriving and I help others just like you!
